These are some of my favorite voices in the integrated health world. They give great information backed by real data and are experts in the field. How many of these do you already know? Let me know!
The truth is, in wellness, there are a lot of things that you can do that are free or very low cost, you don’t need the most expensive products and services. Eating real whole foods and nourishing your body are things that don’t bring a lot of profit to big corporations. So stick with the basics and remember to listen to YOUR body!
Hopefully by the end of this article you will feel more confident in leading the charge in your own health and wellness journey.

Dr. Andrew Weil
Dr. Weil is a great leader in integrative health and a pioneer in many ways. When most physicians lean hard into conventional medicine, Dr. Weil takes a holistic approach incorporating body, mind and spirit.
He has a great article here on breathing techniques to relieve stress. Such a great tip!
His site and blog are full of tips and advice for the general population.
Dr Mark Hyman
Dr. Hyman is very active on social media and has a great podcast (The Doctor’s Farmacy). He has a passion for functional medicine and believes in food as medicine for his patients.
He has written several bestselling books, including a favorite of mine ‘Food, What The Heck Should I Eat?’
His site, podcast and books are a great launching pad into thinking about your own wellness through a different prism.
Shawn Stevenson
Shawn Stevenson is the voice behind The Model Health Show, a podcast that I listen to regularly! He brings experts on in various fields of health and always includes loads of clinical research to back up the claims.
I love that he is a voice that is not afraid to go against the norms of a powerful industry that is led and funded by big pharm, big farm and insurance. His message and way of uncovering truth is a reason I tune in regularly.
If you haven’t checked it out, be sure to give it a listen.
Dr. Zach Bush
I just recently came across Zach Bush in a training I was apart of, and when I heard the beginning of his message I was hooked. Dr Bush is a leading the charge to inspire radical shifts in our food systems. His science on the microbiome of our soil and the effects it has on the foods we eat is fascinating.
I love the connection he shows between us and nature. His website has great resources for learning more about soil, food systems and the impact to our health.
Dr. Josh Axe
Dr Axe is a chiropractor and doctor of natural medicine. He puts out great information for overall health.
I especially love his story about how he got into natural medicine through helping his mother heal her cancer. You can read more and some natural cancer treatments here.
Dr. Axe has his own line of protein powders that he promotes on his website as well.
Conclusion
These guys all have some great resources for general health and wellness. It can be a great launching pad for beginning to understand your own health concerns. As always, remember you are a bio-individual being and what works for one person may not work for others.
